💡 What is a Moneyline?

The Moneyline is one of the most basic and popular pick types in sports. It simply means you're selecting which team or player will win the game or match — no point spreads, no complications.

🧠 How It Works

Instead of using point differentials, the Moneyline uses odds to reflect how likely each team is to win. These odds are usually displayed as either positive (+) or negative (–) numbers.

🔢 Example

Let’s say there's a game between:

  • Team A: -150

  • Team B: +130

Here’s what that means:

  • Team A (-150) is the favorite. You would need to risk $150 to win $100 (or the equivalent based on your unit size).

  • Team B (+130) is the underdog. If you risk $100, you win $130 if they win.

You’re simply picking the winner — the score or margin of victory doesn’t matter.

✅ Why Pick Moneylines?

  • Easy to understand — just pick who wins

  • Great for underdog value if you think an upset is coming

  • No need to calculate point spreads or margins
