What is a Breach?

⚠️ What is a Breach?

A breach means a rule in your challenge was broken, and your account has been automatically terminated.

Once breached, the challenge is over — your simulated account is closed and cannot be continued.

❌ Common Reasons for a Breach

Here are the most common rule violations that trigger a breach:

  • Exceeding the Max Daily Loss Limit
You lost more than your allowed daily percentage (e.g., 6%, 10%)

  • Exceeding the Max Overall Loss Limit
Your total losses for the challenge surpassed the allowed threshold (e.g., 10%, 15%)

  • Over-Sizing a Pick
You placed a pick above the allowed max pick size (e.g., over 5%)

  • Not Reaching the Minimum Pick Requirement
You didn’t place enough picks before the time limit ended

  • Breaking Other Challenge Rules
Submitting invalid picks or abusing the system in any way

💸 Pick Amount Is Subtracted Immediately

When you place a pick, the amount you're risking is instantly subtracted from your simulated balance — even before the result is known.

🧮 Example:

You're in a challenge with a $10,000 balance
Your daily loss limit is 6% (that’s $600)

  • Earlier today, you’ve already lost $500

  • You now submit a pick risking $200

✅ The system subtracts $200 right away
❌ Your total drawdown for the day is now $700, which exceeds the $600 limit
➡️ This triggers an immediate breach, even though the pick hasn’t settled yet

🔒 What Happens After a Breach?

  • Your challenge ends permanently

  • Picks are no longer accepted

  • You cannot reverse or appeal a breach

  • To try again, you'll need to start a new challenge
